Hi Linda, bright light and regular pinching/pruning keeps the foliage compact. Pinch back to 2 sets of leaves and you’ll get 2 new branches. When those grow out to 2 or 3 sets of leaves, again pinch back to the first two leaves….repeat. Hope this makes sense. Happy to discuss futher or send photos if you would like.

Finally picked up a couple back in December while in FL. I think they are coming along nicely. Now to acclimate them to the outdoors for the summer. Thanks for the inspiration!

Those black roots (yes, they are wet) are ones that died back years ago apparently. I was not able to see that when I purchased it with all of the moss that was covering it. Now to decide on whether to make it a feature or try my hand at root grafting.

Thats great progress in just 2 years! Makes me want to go crawl around a nursery....

Very nice! Love the ramification. Ive been looking for more info on dwarf Jades. How do you keep it over the winter? Grow lights? Extra humidity? Reduce water? Thanks!
