If you missed Jennifer Price's outstanding presentation to NVBS in 2025, here's another opportunity to learn from one of the country's most respected bonsai professionals. Jennifer returns to speak on deciduous bonsai, exploring species-specific techniques, design principles, seasonal work, and the subtle nuances that make deciduous trees so compelling.

Jennifer lives and breathes art. Here's a short tidbit about her artful beginnings with bonsai.

"I was actually a professional ballet dancer, and as a ballerina I had always looked at movement. So the line of the trees fascinated me right from the get-go. When you see a literati tree, it looks very tall and sinuous. I think I was attracted to that—I saw the movement within the trees, within the trunk line, and kind of just took it from there. As silly as that sounds, I think all trees kind of dance."

Jennifer is a renowned bonsai professional whose artistic approach has been shaped by years of study under her longtime teacher and friend, Jim Doyle. Through Jim's mentorship, she also had the opportunity to work with internationally respected bonsai artists, including Mauro Stemberger, Chase Rosade, Larry Jackel, Peter Warren, and Walter Pall (whom she continues to study with to this day).

At this monthly meeting, there will be a sales table where club members will be selling trees, pots, and other bonsai-related accessories. If you're interested in selling, please bring your sale item to the meeting. There is no raffle at this month's meeting.
