A special treat awaits at the June monthly meeting. Our very own member, Sisto Bernardo, from Australia, will be presenting on the world of bonsai in Australia.

As many know, bonsai styles, techniques, and traditions can vary greatly from country to country outside of Japan, and even within the United States itself.

​

Join us for an engaging presentation exploring the unique nuances of Australian bonsai, including distinctive native tree species, regional approaches to design and cultivation, and the evolving bonsai culture from the land down under.

Mentor-Led Workshop:

​

After the presentation, there will be a mentor-led workshop. With late spring underway, many trees have now hardened off and are ready for pruning. If you’re looking for design guidance, a tree critique, or simply want to observe and learn, feel free to bring your tree material. If you're bringing a tree and have species-specific questions, please visit the Mentorship page to browse each mentor’s specialties for a more focused experience.

Raffle Opportunity:

There will also be a raffle at the June meeting, featuring a wide variety of items generously contributed by members. It’s a great opportunity to pick up tools, pots, materials, and other additions for your bonsai collection.

Sales Table:

​

In addition to the raffle, there will be a sales table where club members will be selling trees, pots, and other bonsai-related accessories. If you're interested in selling, please bring your sale item to the meeting.
