_______________________________
Guy Guidry, owner of NOLA Bonsai, has been practicing the art of bonsai for more than 30 years. When a worldwide bonsai convention came to New Orleans, he was hooked. It was there he met local bonsai enthusiast Vaughn Banting, who took him under his wing. He also trained and studied with renowned bonsai expert, John Naka. In 1990 John Naka organized a large donation to The National Bonsai & Penjing Museum which became the John Y Naka North American Collection. One of the trees selected and donated in this gift is a large bald cypress bonsai that was collected and styled by Guy in 1987.
