About the event
This year, Shannon, owner of Kusa-Farm (a shohin bonsai nursery in Tennessee) will be giving a presentation to NVBS on forest planting creation and design. After the Saturday morning presentation, Shannon will lead forest planting workshops on Saturday Afternoon and all-day Sunday where he will help conduct the initial styling of your forest. Shannon will provide pre-bonsai forest material (participants will be able to pre-select either Japanese or trident maple material), plastic pot, and soil. Participants must bring their own tools and wire and can bring their own pot for the planting if they desire. This is a great opportunity to secure well grown pre-bonsai material.
The cost to participate in the workshop is $150, which includes the material, and you must be current with your 2024 NVBS or PBA affiliate Membership.
Shannon will also be bringing some extra material for purchase.
